Increasing the size of a virtual disk

0

Open VMware Infrastructure (VI) Client and connect to VirtualCenter or the ESX host.
Right-click the virtual machine.
Click Edit Settings.
Select Virtual Disk.
Increase the size of the disk.
Follow these steps so the guest operating system is aware of the change in disk size.

If you use Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 you can expand the volumes from the

Disk Manager in Computer Management. Right-click on volume and click Extend Volume.

If you use another OS you need a 3rd party utility.

Examples of third-party utilities include:

7tools Partition Manager http://www.7tools.com/pm/index.htm
DFSee http://www.dfsee.com/dfsee/index.php
EASEUS Partition Manager http://www.partition-tool.com
GParted LiveCD http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php
Partition Logic http://partitionlogic.org.uk
Paragon Partition Manager http://www.partition-manager.com
Ranish Partition Manager http://www.ranish.com/part
System Rescue CD http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page
Windows DiskPart utility If you are using the Windows DiskPart utility, it can only extend (expand) data volumes. If you use the DiskPart utility to extend a system or boot volume, you may get an error. For more information about extending partitions with the DiskPart utility, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 325590.

you must close all dialog boxes before you can close exchange management console

I got this warning “you must close all dialog boxes before you can close exchange management console” every time i wanted to close the exchange management console.

A workaround that worked for me was adding https://localhost to the trusted sites zone.
