How to make visible DM800(HD) in Windows Network

make sure samba is turned on via the blue panel and check the

smb.conf is set for your network and group

the file is in ect/samba

server string = DreamBOX %h network services
workgroup = Dream – change this to your workgroup name

preferred master = no ;(These stop the machine being master browser, which means that it doesn’t waste time there.)

List of all Installed Programs from your Command Line

Searching for a quick way to list all the programs installed on your computer ?

You can do so by using the WMIC command line interface.

Follow these steps to export a list of all installed programms on your computer.

  1. open a command Prompt. Click Start and type CMD in the search box.
  2. Click cmd.exe at the top of the search results.
  3. At the Cmd prompt type wmic and hit enter.
  4. The command show now wmic:root\cli> Type product get name,version hit enter.

In a few seconds you’ll see a list with all installed programs and their version numbers.



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can also export this list to :

1.  a HTML file, type at the wmic command prompt  /output:c:\ProgramList.htm product get name,version

2.  a text file type at the wmic command prompt /output:c:\ProgramList.txt product get name,version
